Gibson Paving have hand lay squads available to carry out this type of project.

In general terms, hand lay is now used only for small areas less than 400m2, on product not available as a machine lay option, or on areas not suited for laying by machine.

Many commercial projects of substantial size have and continue to be carried out using hand lay techniques, but with the ever increasing drive towards safer working practices, mechanically laid block systems will be developed by the major block manufacturers to comply with those regulations.
